Do I Need Outside Supervision?
Some professionals are lucky enough to have individual supervision, group supervision, or both offered at their agency. This can be a great resource! However, sometimes you may want or need an outside person. Some reasons to seek outside supervision include:
- To help you manage the specifics of your job so you don’t get hung up on the agencies way of thinking.
- To provide a deeper exploration of what you want your social work practice to be.
- To address issues impacting your practice that you don’t want to talk to your boss about.
