Why Group Supervision?
Group supervision provides an environment in which each participant can engage in different professional behaviors and roles. It gives the person presenting multiple different perspectives and ideas and allows the rest of the group members to practice providing feedback.
Who, What, When, and Where?
This group experience is for anyone interested in group supervision. I have primarily worked around the mental health and children’s welfare systems so I will likely be the most helpful for people in those areas. I strongly believe that we can all learn from people, even if they are doing different work, so I currently do not have groups based on your licensure level—that means anyone can join no matter their educational level (Bachelor’s or Master’s) or what social work license you have (LSW, LGSW, LISW) or what license you are working towards (LSW, LISW, LICSW).
During group supervision, supervisees will have the opportunity to present a case for consultation, and we will also look at other subjects that are of interest to the group. Each group can have up to six members, and we will work to find a time that works for the group.
I find the in person model of supervision to be the most helpful, and I realize how much easier it can be to meet online. I offer both options, please reach out to discuss meeting times and locations.
How Much Do You Charge for Group Supervision?
I know that finances can be difficult, especially when you are fresh out of school and trying to advance your career. I ask that supervisees pay $25 per hour of group supervision.
This includes:
- A spreadsheet to track your supervision and clinical hours
- Materials to present case consults
- Additional guides that I have put together to help my supervisees including self-care planners, CEU resources, licensing guides
- A number of therapeutic resources you can use with clients.
If you cannot afford the $25 per hour, please don’t hesitate to reach out and we can discuss other options.
I happily offer a free 30 minute consultation to see if I am the right fit for you. Please reach out and we can schedule a phone call, video call, or an in person meeting—whatever works best for you!
